- Land Mass: approximately 685 km2
- Boundaries: Ika South, Orhionwon, Ethiope and Ndokwa West LGAs
- Vegetation: Evergreen Rain forest but 80% deciduous
- Rainfall: 6’ of rainfall per annum; 7 months of rainfall and 5 months dry season and spells of harmattan (between late November and early January)
- Terrain: Upland region, plain lowland with very few hills associated with rivers that drain the region, with erosion challenges, especially along valleys in the coastal areas.
- Drainage: Drained by River Ethiope, non-seasonal river, Okumeshi River, a seasonal river.
